Chief Executive Officer
Andy MacMillan is the CEO of Alteryx, where his focus is on innovation and helping customers unlock tremendous value from their data.
Prior to Alteryx, he was the CEO of UserTesting and Act-On Software. Before becoming a CEO, Andy held several positions at Salesforce, including leading its Data.com division. He also served in product leadership roles at Oracle and Stellent, and began his career as a software developer at EDS.
Andy is a proud Spartan with a B.A. from Michigan State University. He has an MBA from the University of Edinburgh and serves as a Trade and Investment Envoy for the Government of Scotland.
Chief Financial Officer
Jon Pexton is Chief Financial Officer at Alteryx, where he oversees all global financial operations, including strategic planning, budgeting, and investor relations. He has over two decades of finance and accounting experience, including equity and debt offerings, mergers and acquisitions, international expansion, and strategic planning at high growth technology companies. The Utah Technology Council and Utah Business Magazine have both recognized him as ‘CFO of the Year’.
Prior to Alteryx, Jon has served as CFO of five companies, most recently at Tebra, a healthcare practice automation software company and prior to Tebra, he was CFO of UserTesting, an on-demand SaaS platform for user research and feedback. He led the company through an IPO on the New York Stock Exchange in 2021 and an acquisition by Thoma Bravo in 2023 valued at $1.3 billion. Prior to that, he was CFO at Workfront, a SaaS-based enterprise work management platform that Adobe acquired in 2020 for $1.5 billion.
After spending 12 years of his career in the San Francisco Bay area, Jon now lives in Salt Lake City. In his free time, he enjoys being outdoors, mountain biking and skiing and traveling to new places.
Chief Strategy Officer and Chief of Staff
Nali Giliana is Chief Strategy Officer and Chief of Staff at Alteryx. With over 22 years in the digital experience and enterprise SaaS industry, Nali’s career is centered around strategy, innovation, and operational excellence. From leading go-to-market and operational teams at companies like HP, Adobe, OpenText, and UserTesting, Nali has honed a people-first leadership approach that fuels growth and inspires collaboration.
In his role, Nali focuses on driving strategic initiatives, optimizing workflows, mergers and acquisitions, and building bridges across teams to achieve shared goals. A firm believer that growth stems from clarity, communication, and creativity, Nali is passionate about enabling teams to achieve their fullest potential while delivering measurable business results.
Chief People Officer
Jill Bone is the Chief People Officer at Alteryx where she leads the People & Culture team. She is responsible for leading the people strategy and employee experience including talent acquisition and development, total rewards, social impact and diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging efforts. Prior to being the CPO, Jill was Senior Vice President of Talent at Alteryx, where she led Talent Acquisition, Talent Development, and the People Operations functions.
Jill brings over 20 years of experience in building scalable organizations within the cloud software sector. She previously led Global Talent Acquisition at Workday and she served in various leadership positions at Salesforce during a period of significant growth. She began her career in Executive Search at Korn/Ferry International.
Jill earned her Bachelor of Science from Ferris State University in Big Rapids, Michigan.
Chief Revenue Officer
Steven Birdsall is Chief Revenue Officer at Alteryx, where he oversees all go-to-market functions including global sales, sales engineering, customer experience, channels & alliances, and more. He has over 25 years of technology industry experience in global sales and senior management across many leading software organizations, especially focused on enterprise software, SaaS and digital media.
Prior to Alteryx, Steven served as Chief Revenue Officer at Qlik, where he drove significant revenue growth and implemented data-driven strategies. He was previously Senior Vice President of HCM Cloud Application Sales at Oracle and Anaplan’s Chief Revenue Officer, leading the company’s sales organization ahead of and through to IPO. Steven has also served as EVP and CRO at Radial, Inc., helping to position the company for its eventual sale. He held several executive positions at SAP, including global and regional COO positions around the world, along with several global GM roles. Earlier in his career, Steven served in key executive roles at Hearst, Adobe, Computer Sciences Corp (CSC), and Diebold Inc.
Steven holds a Bachelor of Science degree in economics from the University of Utah and an MBA from Brigham Young University.
Chief Digital and Information Officer
Trevor Schulze is Chief Digital and Information Officer at Alteryx, where he leads the global IT team in delivering a comprehensive, business-led technology services and solutions portfolio. Before joining Alteryx, Schulze served as RingCentral’s CIO, responsible for setting the company’s strategic IT direction and reimagining business processes to support growth and profitability.
Prior to that, Schulze was Global CIO at Micron Technology, where he oversaw a global organization charged with optimizing supply chain operations, manufacturing capital utilization, time to market and customer engagement. Schulze also served as Vice President IT, Enterprise Applications at Broadcom Corporation and Corporate Vice President IT at Advanced Micro Devices, where he was responsible for the direction of all enterprise-wide IT systems supporting core business processes. Schulze also spent nearly two decades at Cisco Systems, where he held multiple engineering, development and operational roles.
Chief Legal Officer
Chris Lal is Chief Legal Officer of Alteryx, responsible for all legal affairs, including intellectual property, licensing, contract negotiations, privacy, compliance, and corporate governance. Chris has over 25 years of experience as a corporate, transactions, and securities attorney representing both public and private companies in various phases of development and growth.
Before joining Alteryx, Chris was vice president, general counsel and secretary of Tilly’s, Inc., an NYSE-traded retail and ecommerce company, where he oversaw legal affairs related to SEC and NYSE compliance, intellectual property, Federal Trade Commission matters, ecommerce, and labor and employment. He managed complex litigation and was interim head of human resources. Before Tilly’s, Chris served as general counsel at several public and private companies, helping these companies through various stages of growth and corporate change.
Chris began his career at O’Melveny & Myers, LLP, as a member of the corporate and securities practice. He holds a B.A. from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and a J.D. from the University of Southern California.
Chief Product Officer
Ben Canning is Chief Product Officer at Alteryx, where he leads product, design, and strategy and drives advancements in data prep and AI innovation. Ben’s passion has always been helping customers make meaningful change in the world, and he centers his efforts on fostering a culture of innovation, excellence, and customer-centricity.
Prior to Alteryx, Ben was SVP of Products at Smartsheet, where he led Product Management, Research, and UX Design, driving the company’s transformation from a $400 million private entity to a publicly traded leader with over $1 billion in ARR. Before Smartsheet, Ben spent 22 years at Microsoft, culminating in serving as Head of Product for Microsoft Teams. He was a founding member of the team that built SharePoint Online, transforming a large, on-premise business into a large-scale cloud service.
Ben is the proud dad of three kids and a dog. Outside of work, he is a self-described “super nerd,” spending his time 3D printing and making things.
